I’ll have pics a bit later, but I just got not 1, but 2 (!) new spindles from Zebisis Designs! OMG!! I am soooo squeeing right now!

One is a spindle with a tiger’s eye whorl, and the other has a black and white jasper whorl. Both with beautiful rosewood shafts! These spindles are seriously beautiful! She also threw in some merino/silk fiber in peacock colors! (*snicker* I think I know what to do with *that*…)

I just spun up some of the Red Churro on the tiger’s eye spindle, and it’s spinning up beautifully! I specifically bought this spindle to spin up the churro because my wheel wasn’t liking it too much. It’s nice to see that my thought that I needed to use a drop spindle was quite right. The wheel is better for handling smoother/finer fibers, which the churro is not. That’s ok, because now I have spindles!!!
