When I meditate and think of Kuan Yin, I see her as surrounded by light, her white robes glowing from the moon behind her. Sometimes the white light becomes golden. I don’t know quite how to explain the quality of light I see when she comes to me but maybe I can show it in a photograph:
This is where I am currently camping. The early morning light with mists on the lake remind me of the light I associate with Kuan Yin. I think that’s because it’s taken at dawn, the mists are magical and mysterious. It’s a really peaceful time of day when I get to meditate visually with my Canon camera. I can imagine the mists fading to reveal Kuan Yin standing on a beautiful lotus.
