Month of Written Devotion 21 & 22 – Weakness and Strength

I share my weaknesses with Kuan Yin and a select group of friends and family. Weakness makes me feel vulnerable and therefore I only share it with people I trust.

Strength makes me feel good and it’s easier for me to share.

Is there shame in being weak? I don’t think so. Admitting weakness means you might need help from other people. That also means that strength can come as a result of accepting that help.

Like Yin and Yang, weaknesses and strengths are relative and cannot exist without each other. When you look at the picture below, do you first notice the trees that fell or the trees that survived? I see the beauty in their coexistence.
